The 141 awl haft from Osborne has a lacquer finish and a brass chuck designed to hold awls or wider needles. Knurling on chuck makes it easy to tighten manually. Note, to fit Osborne harness and stitching awls, you need the 145 awl haft instead.

Hey Brent! The 141 awl haft is good for smaller diameter awls and wider diameter needles. If you are looking at using any kind of Osborne awl, just go for the 145.
