Five stars!! Awesome tool! I bought it for more heavy duty stamping, punching and end cutting belts and pet collars. My 16 ounce one just wasn’t heavy enough to handle that without really pounding away at it. This 28 ounce Barry King maul is really comfortable and the workmanship is excellent. Montana leather really took care of me and kept in close contact throughout the entire ordering and shipping process. I’m very happy with them and will definitely be purchasing other items from them.

I don’t know how I ever did it before! I have SO MUCH MORE control! After just a bit of practice, I ran the smoothest bevel line I have ever run! I have more practice to do, but the right tools make that process so much easier! I will NEVER regret buying this 20 Oz. maul! It’s perfect for me, for what I am doing! (Re-learning how to do carved, and tooled, custom leather again, after 15 years or so. ) It the tool I always wanted and never had, I can see a very bright future for my skill set, using this tool!

Very nice mallet, if I could have tried the hammer? style, I would have ordered it, it’s too hard to hit square with the round mallet but I’m certain I’ll get used to the round style.
