Fiebing’s Saddle Oil is a blend of leather oils, silicone and lanolin for leather articles subjected to rugged outdoor use. Lanolin keeps leather soft through repeated wetting and drying, while silicone repels water. Not for use on suede leathers.
Application Instructions
Clean leather and apply oil, allowing to penetrate freely. Finally, rub briskly with a soft, dry cloth.
Does the saddle oil darken the leather.Tracy Peterson asked on November 4, 2022
Hi Tracy! Yes, generally speaking it will darken the leather. Darkening is a very tough thing to escape, but some things darken more than others. So I recommend applying a small portion of your product to an inconspicuous part of your article to see what happens. If you're alright with a paste instead of an oil, I also recommend Blackrock for the least darkening.
