I was very disappoint in the Thickness of the leather side. Y’all judged it at 6 to 6.5 it was more like 4 to 5. I was going to make saddle scabbards out of it but it’s to thin for that.

I have ordered from Montana leather for years and had enjoyed what I received. Recently I purchased this leather in the black and was happy with it so I decided to purchase it in the brown, and although they were both advertised as the same and cost the same the brown price was a lot smaller than the black and also the grain of leather wasn’t as thick. I will still order in the future but will probably never order this exact one again, as I want to use the highest quality leather for my customers leather products I make with Montana leather and I feel as though this one would not meet up to the quality I try to deliver to them.
