This hide could not be more gorgeous. It’s supple, it feels so good in the hand. This is the first hide I have ever bought as I delve into leatherworking and the bags and wallets I have made from this hide, I could not imagine them being any more beautiful. This will be my go-to hide when I need to order something that I KNOW is going to be breathtaking. I will be recommending this company to anyone that asks me about my leather. I am very, very pleased with the prices. Thank you very much.

This was the first Bison hide I ever worked with and I’ll tell you it’ll be the last…I will never order from anywhere else it’s just beyond soft, thick and strong…and that smell!! I have made everything from wallets, coin purses, business/credit card holders and even earrings…they always go fast!!

10 stars if that was a option. This leather is remarkable- I love it. Use it all the time . Soft, pliable, and awesome color and texture. I use this travel bags, duffle bags, pilot bags etc. I keep on coming back to Montana Leather Company for Cognac Apache Bison.

Fantastic service and great product. I initially received the wrong item, and the company addressed the problem within the hour and I received the correct product within two business days. It’s a little heavy for book binding (what I bought it for), but still made a very nice finished product. I’ll definitely be staying with this company for my future leatherworking projects.

What is the approximate thickness of this hide Preston Seal asked on July 12, 2024

Hey Preston, our Apache sides are about 5/32" or so, which would mean it would be 5 oz weight, or thickness.

Hi, are these chrome or veg tanned hides? Austin Watkins asked on May 17, 2024

Hey Austin, that is correct. Our Apache bison line is chrome tanned. We have a section dedicated to veg tan leathers, and otherwise all of our other leathers are chrome tanned.
