Most of the piece I received is nice and clean, but one hand -size piece is so bad that I’m going to need to dye it to use it.

The size was good, however there were some imperctions.
The biggest problem was the shipping box was torn and the delivery was made in the pouring rain and left on the front step, consequently over 1/2 of the piece was soaked. Not very happy with USPS.

Pretty legit leather. Minimal cosmetic issues. Front and back looks great. These guys have good quality leather. It’s a little pricey for a reason. Everything I’ve received from them has been really good.

Q & A

Would these leather pieces be a suitable material to cut insoles from? Ian Rudie asked on January 21, 2023

Hey Ian! You certainly can cut from these to make insoles. Typically though, insoles are cut from sole bends that are a bit stiffer that typical veg tan leather like Hermann Oak. We have sole bends on the website here as well, just do a search for them and they'll pop up.

Can you tell me what part of the animal this would be cut from? Gabriel asked on November 26, 2022

Hey Gabriel! These are cut from Hermann Oak veg tan leather sides, from the back down to the belly. Horizontally, the pieces can come from anywhere from the butt to the shoulder.
