Western Floral embossed leather in turquoise. At 3-4 ounces (1/16″) and mild to medium stiffness, this leather may be used for making bags, wallets, earrings and more. The turquoise in this leather has brown undertones, giving it a distinct look. Cut pieces are available too!
Beautiful design and color. absolutely horrible smell,(like chemical fertilizer) unusable.

Hey Tim, thanks for the honest feedback. The chemical smell is definitely hard to escape for some chrome tanned leathers, and we’re nose blind to it being in the store all the time!
Is this a Made In USA product?John asked on July 4, 2024
Hey John, the western floral leathers are tanned outside of the US, as many leathers are.

Is this laser safe?Marcella asked on January 20, 2024
Hey Marcella, with most chrome tanned leathers like this, it isn't recommended that you laser engrave due to fumes. However, with proper ventilation and precautions, it should not be a problem. With that being said, I have not tested laser engraving on this leather yet, so I'm not sure how well it will take to a laser.

Why is this not recommended for upholstery? I love this item and thought I'd try recovering my barstools. Thoughts?COURTNEY WRIGHT asked on August 6, 2023
Hey Courtney, the reason this isn't recommended for upholstery is because it is a thicker leather than what is recommended for upholstery. You are of course welcome to try for yourself, but in most situations it probably isn't ideal.
