Bark tanned woolskins are veg tan shearlings that maintain a dense, but soft, orange wool on the skin. The flesh side is similar in appearance to what you’d expect from veg tan leather.
When do people use bark tanned woolskins?
Saddle makers will frequently use this product as a cushion underneath the seat of a saddle. Gun straps and shoulder straps are also popular uses. Orange wool is usually the style that is used.
